"It's creative. It's not financial."
The future of The X-Files may depend on how US TV channel Fox promotes creator Chris Carter's other series The Lone Gunmen. X-Files creator Chris Carter says he was very disappointed by US TV station Fox which axed his other series Harsh Realm after just three episodes.
-
Carter was disappointed by Fox's axing of his other drama Harsh Realm after just three episodes and he says: "I'm really interested in their promotion and support of Gunmen.
-
"They said they'd promote the first eight episodes. Well it did not go for eight episodes. For me, that was a
dishonesty"
-
Carter is particularly concerned that Fox doesn't mete out similar treatment to his X-Files spin-off The Lone Gunmen.
-
Carter say's: "I want to make sure they support us completely not partially and not just for the perpetuation of The X-Files.
-
David Duchovny, who's Mulder appears in only 11 episodes of the eighth run while Gillian Anderson and Robert Patrick are optioned for the next season.
-
"I hope there's a ninth season but it's all about how we can make it good. Its creative, its not financial. That's the determining
factor"
